Special Theme: Materials & Photonics: Advancing the World Symposium Keynote Speaker Shuji Nakamura, PhDDr. Shuji Nakamura Nobel Laureate in Physics (2014) CREE Distinguished Professor, Materials Department Research Director for the Solid-State Lighting & Energy Electronics Center University of California, Santa Barbara Dr. Nakamura was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics (2014) for the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes which has enabled bright and energy-saving white sources.
