This Open House is one in a series of public observations we are holding during the spring semester. This is an open public event, and anyone can come anytime between 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm. You will have an opportunity to use one of our 10" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes to look at objects in our solar system (Mars around 8:30 pm and Jupiter after 10 pm) and the deep sky objects like multiple star systems, open star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.New!! Duke undergraduate students interested in joining us at Open House can participate in a trial Uber Events program. To receive an Uber code good for a free ride to and from the observatory contact Yuriy Bomze directlyYou can find directions on our web page: http://www.phy.duke.edu/duke-teaching-observatoryCheck our web page before coming for event confirmation or cancellation in case of poor weather conditions.
