FIP Seminar: Microwave Radiometry in Medicine: From Early Detection of Breast Cancer to Brain Temperature Monitoring

This event has passed.

Wed, 09/27/2017 - 12:00 to 13:00

Presenter

Dr. Paolo F. Maccarini, Assistant Research Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Duke University

By merging advanced circuit/antenna design with multiphysics modeling, Dr. Maccarini pioneered low-cost passive sensors to noninvasively measure deep temperature for various diagnostic applications. By combining novel engineering solutions with immunotherapy/thermo-drugs, his collaborative efforts aim to more effective cancer therapies.
