The Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) 2020 FIP Annual Meeting. Special Topic Sessions: Photonics in the Era of Data Science: from Smart Sensing to Computer Vision and AI. The FIP Pioneer Award will be presented by Dr. Donna Strickland, 2018 Nobel Laureate in Physics. The symposium will include lectures from distinguished speakers, contributed papers, and posters by investigators from academic and industrial institutions covering topics related to biophotonics, nanophotonics, quantum optics, nano & microsystems and information photonics. This year's FIP Symposium will celebrate the International Day of Light (May 16th) and the 60th Anniversary of the Invention of the Laser (2020) and the 20 year anniversary of the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics.
